Frequently Asked Questions.

Common Questions

Is my card data safe?

Yes, when you link a card in the iSponsor app, your card details are encrypted with bank-level security systems. It is replaced with X’s except for the last 4 digits of your card number and the card’s expiry date. The reason we display it like this is for you to see which card you have linked.

Why isn't my transaction showing?

Depending on the card terminal and bank transaction it may take up-to 5 days to appear. If your transaction hasn’t appeared after 5 days, please get in contact with us and we will investigate why. Please submit a transaction enquiry here.

How long will it take for my organisation to receive the funds?

Once the transaction has cleared, payments are made to organisations the following month.

How does iSponsor make money?

We charge a marketing fee to businesses and brands that sponsor organisations. We negotiate those rates with businesses and brands on our app.

How do I join iSponsor?

We have three types of accounts:

1. Supporters (Shop and Fund-raise) can join here.

2. Groups and Organisations that want help to be supported with fundraising can apply online here.

3. Businesses or brands that want to support Groups and Organisations can register interest here.

How do I bring on local sponsors?

Glad you asked, we have written a fundraising guide that has some great information.

What's the difference between pending and cleared and when will my transaction clear?

When a transaction is alerted to us, it gets reported as “pending” once the transaction has been cleared by the business, brand, or Visa and MasterCard has confirmed the cleared payment, it will change to a “cleared” status. A cleared status means it will be paid to the organisation or group in the next calendar month.

The duration of the above process depends on the brand or business and their process, but generally, it takes 30 days. However, it is worth noting that some brands/businesses, especially travel booking may wait until the cancellation period has ended. It is essential to read the terms and conditions for each business.
